    About Atlanta Public Schools: Atlanta Public Schools is the fifth largest school district in the state of Georgia with 96 schools/centers serving approximately 48,000 students. APS schools are organized into eight K-12 vertical clusters composed of one high school and feeder elementary and middle school, including two single grader academies and 13 small high schools. The district also hosts seven charter schools. Additionally there are five administrative sites supporting 6500 employees.

    A leading Mid-Atlantic health care organization has selected ASSYST to implement CA Clarity Project Portfolio Management System (PPM) version 12.1. Part of this project ASSYST will be involved in a three Phase Implementation of the CA Clarity PPM 12.1 solution. Phase I involves setting up the Clarity PPM 12.1 environment for the Production, UAT, QA and Development environments, configuration of Clarity PPM and Implementation of Project Management module. This phase will also involve loading of all resources to Clarity and creation of delivery roles aligning with customer's service delivery organizaton. Phase II of the project will be implementation of Demand Management, Resource Management and Portfolio Management modules. ASSYST will integrate Clarity PPM 12.1 with PeopleSoft ERP and other corporate systems, create Enterprise Dashboards and Reports utilizing Business Objects and Xcelsius. Phase III of the project will be focused on the implementation of Capital Management, migration of Time Entry to Clarity and Schedule Management.

    March, 2011 - ASSYST is awarded an Alliant SB Task Order to provide the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) with systems administration services of 22 regional applications centers supporting 126 VA hospitals. ASSYST is partnering with the VA’s Enterprise Systems Engineering (ESE) organization focusing on health solutions for multiple patient care applications designed and built on a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) utilizing Cloud technology. ASSYST has aligned its service delivery with the VA’s program goals and objectives of improving health care of veterans by enhancing the ability to store, retrieve, and analyze patient information, improving access to frequently used information, and better utilizing IT to improve admission and discharge procedures.

    ASSYST wins a Consulting and Managed Services contract with an internationally known non-profit organization whose mission is ‘preventing teen smoking and encouraging smokers to quit’. As part of the contract, ASSYST will upgrade the Client’s current version of SharePoint to SharePoint 2010, migrate all the current data to the new version, and convert all the existing features and functionalities of the SharePoint site. The contract also entails post upgrade maintenance support, modifications, enhancements and training. The new solution with SharePoint 2010 at its core would enable full document automation, content management, powerful search and rapid access, as well as flexible collaboration, displaying graphs and charts for presenting various reports, Social Networking features and an Issue Tracking module. ASSYST had supported this client for developing and maintaining the existing solutions on previous version of SharePoint.

    ASSYST revamps the Development Marketplace website, integrating social media features to appeal to a global audience and elicit maximum participation for its competitions. The Development Marketplace is a program of the World Bank Institute (WBI).
     
    ASSYST was contracted by WBI to create a new website to mark the 10th anniversary of the Development Marketplace. The objective was to establish the Development Marketplace in the global arena and to ensure maximum participation while capturing their target audiences. With the launch of the new site, users now have real-time visibility into updates, discussions, ideas, documents and best practices, with a global reach.
     
    The Development Marketplace is a competitive grant program administered by the WBI and funded by various partners. It identifies and funds innovative, early-stage development projects with high potential for development impact. Each year, the Development Marketplace organizes global,  regional and country competitions focused on a specific theme or sector. To date, the program has successfully selected over 1,000 finalists from more than 20,000 participants through global competitions. Among those around 220 winning entries have been selected for funding. In addition, more than 1,000 winners have also been supported under national level competitions. As it moves forward, the Development Marketplace is placing more emphasis on scalability, financial sustainability and connecting social entrepreneurs with providers of growth finance.
     
    ASSYST refurbished the website using the Drupal CMS framework. It will serve as a platform for enhancements and future developments. The revamped website will be the primary content dissemination portal for Development Marketplace competitions, ideas, contestants, partners, and jurors. The website was designed to improve the user experience with enhanced visuals and streamlined navigation. The new site is also SEO friendly.
     
    As part of the revamp, ASSYST was responsible for designing the user interface and validating the design with selected user groups. Enhancements were made in various areas and include links to stories, toolkits, and the DM blog. The website integrates Development Marketplace with Social Media channels on YouTube, Twitter, etc. for a more interactive and community oriented experience. The site is expected to expand further to include online features and collaboration, built around the same platform.

    ASSYST has won a contract for the design and development of a SharePoint Intranet Portal for a leading national provider of mental health services to state and local government employees. Under the terms of this contract, ASSYST will provide planning, analysis, customizations, branding and project management services for the portal site using Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 and provide roadmap for upgrade to SharePoint 2010. As part of this contract ASSYST will update the existing portal using workflows and custom Web Parts, adding document libraries, fine tuning and integration with home page, creating sub sites, and training and documentation. ASSYST will use an Onsite- Offsite delivery model on this assignment, which will result in significant cost savings to the Client. The new solution will enable greater collaboration while helping employees take more informed decisions through actionable intelligence, thus bringing more predictability into the entire process.

This contract for Statewide Personnel Service (SPS) at Department of Information Technology will manage multiple phases of the SPS replacement project from concept to completion. This initiative requires considerable involvement with the procurement process to facilitate acquisition and implementation of a new ERP system. This is a multi-year contract where ASSYST will be part of the team to help State of Maryland to roll this to 64 agencies statewide.
